Envisioned as membership driven, upscale cocktail den, we worked with the owners to develop their vision from initial idea complete through to finished space. Taking inspiration from the space's original use as the main floor of an 1870's four floor town house we custom designed and built the entire space to look and feel as it may have when it was first built and new. All while making it function for the service and atmosphere envisioned and then turning it slightly on it's ear.
Completely gutted and rebuilt from scratch the process included up to 7 carpenters onsite at any given time handcrafting every piece of wood, molding, beam and brace, and component in the space. It was built as if it were being built in the era of the apartment. Gas lamps fitted for lighting, sliding doors hidden in walls, coffered panelling and ceilings, custom designed and built onsite.
